This project was a special gift from the parent's of the bride, who asked me to create a stunning piece of art which included the typography her daughter had chosen. It was to be the backdrop for the couple's table at the reception and later be framed and hung in the couple's new home. Unsure of exactly what she wanted, the mom knew she at least wanted something to hang inside the frame of the window. Her first inclination was to add paper flowers around the wall outside of the window frame to finish off the decoration. I asked for photos of the couple, the color scheme of the wedding, photos of the venue in which it would hang, examples of the flowers the bride had chosen for her bouquet, and any other important information I could gleen from conversation. In my Photoshop sketch, I suggested trading the paper flower idea for long drapes of fabric in a coordinating gray tone, keeping the full focus on the bride and groom using the art as a stunning complement to adorn them. I was told after the event that this piece was a topic of conversation at the reception!
